As a Data Scientist at Vetalti National Research, you will work at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and research. You will analyze complex medical and research data, develop predictive models, and uncover patterns that drive meaningful discoveries. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, clinicians, and IT professionals to translate data into actionable insights. What you'll work on

  • Analyze large, complex healthcare and research data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and implement machine learning models and statistical algorithms to solve research problems.
  • Clean, preprocess, and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to understand project goals and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices in data science and healthcare analytics.
  • Contribute to research publications, reports, and presentations.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.

What we're looking for

  • Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or statistical modeling, preferably in healthcare or research settings.
  • Proficiency in Python or R, including libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and regulations (HIPAA, DHA guidelines) is a strong asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaboratively in the office.
