he Data Scientist hired willbe responsible forscoping, developing,validating, and documenting Agentic AI solutions which will form the core of products whichING Analytics Wholesale Banking (INGA-WB)develops for ING. This will also include carrying out world-class Research and Development whereappropriate toarrive at a solution, as well as potentially guiding and mentoring more junior members and STAs orMastersstudents (though this person will not be a line manager).
ING Analytics Wholesale Banking is a department formed of four Chapters (Data Science, Data Engineering, UX, and Product Management) which hasroughly 100full-time employees, and which focusses on building algorithmic 10x data-driven products thatbenefitour clients and generate revenue for the bank.

Roles and responsibilities
Develop anexpertisein applying Agentic AI techniques for performing automated tasks in the KYC domain, such as data extraction from documents, completeness and reliability assessments, contextengineeringandoptimisation, etc.
Otherprojectinclude:machine and representation learning, entity resolution, and network & graph applications.
Adopt best practices and quality standards for developing & deploying fit-for-purpose model pipelines, addressing the requirements of the ING model governance.
Be an effective member of a model development & implementation squad, challenge the statusquoand build what matters.
Actively learn about our domain, reach out to our stakeholders, and tell captivating stories with our data to create a journey that makes our bank and our society safer.

Provenexperiencein working withAgentic AI and LLM techniques.
MSc or PhD with excellent academic results in the field of Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics or similar.
You have at least 1+ years (Junior) or3+ years (Medior) of work experience in the Data Science space (methods, technology, data) including statistical modelling and machine learning experience to solve business questions and/or develop (innovative) data driven products.
Programming Languages:proficiencyinPython isrequired
Youare able toexplain complicated subjects clearly
You are friendly and approachable with good humor and personality
You are motivated to keep on top of the latest developments
You have good knowledge of a wide range of machine learning algorithms, ranging from more classical econometric models tocutting-edgeneural networks andcanmatch them to business problems
You are a team player who strikes effective balance between independence and acting in the interest of the team
