Join Mutual of Omaha’s Data Science team and help bridge traditional analytics with modern, agentic AI solutions. This is an applied, hybrid data science role that combines analytical rigor, analytics engineering, and hands on exposure to modern AI systems. In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders to develop and deploy AI driven models and analytical solutions focused on detecting fraud, promoting sales growth, and reducing operational costs, with an emphasis on scalable, production ready implementations. We’re looking for a hands on data scientist who is comfortable working across SQL, Python, dbt, and Snowflake, and who has experience building AI driven models, chatbots, and agent based solutions to power conversational analytics and automated decisioning.

We’re looking for a hands‑on data scientist who is comfortable working across SQL, Python, dbt, and Snowflake, and who has experience building AI‑driven models, chatbots, and agent‑based solutions to power conversational analytics and automated decisioning.
What we're looking for
- Familiarity with insurance data, including exposure to claims, policy, or actuarial datasets
- Experience with AWS Bedrock Agents and action group integration
- Familiarity with generative AI patterns such as RAG and enterprise AI deployment pipelines
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver solutions in fast‑moving environments
